About Me

Hi, I'm Nathan Tang — software engineer at AWS, mostly working on infrastructure and distributed systems. On the side, I build a lot of things no one asked for, like a horoscope app that queries NASA ephemeris data just to tell you it's a moderately auspicious day, or websites that do one specific thing with way too much effort.

When I'm not writing code, I'm usually making dumplings with friends, losing at table tennis, slowly working through Letterboxd's top 300, or running D&D sessions that went off the rails about three sessions in. I've been getting more into game dev and photography lately, which so far mostly means buying things I don't fully know how to use yet.

I like building things that probably didn't need to exist and then writing about them. Most of it ends up on my GitHub or this blog eventually.
